Detailed Itinerary : 3 Day Sun City Golf Tour
Day 1: Sun City
Guests are met upon arrival at Johannesburg International Airport from where the road leads past Hartebeestpoort Dam, en route to the Pilanesberg Game Reserve. The reserve is situated a stone's throw from the Sun City Resort and encompasses an area of fifty five thousand hectares of unique geology, which includes the eroded remains of a long extinct volcanic crater. Pilansberg is one of the largest volcanic complexes of its kind in the world. Its rare rock types and structure make it a unique geological feature. The reserve is home to an abundance of wildlife, not least being the Big Five, and is the focus of an afternoon game drive. The game drive is interpretive in nature, and the knowledge of the guide is sure to enhance the wildlife experience. Birdwatching is excellent with over 300 species recorded. Varied habitats and panoramas will delight and entertain photographers and visitors. The park ranks amongst the largest of the parks in South Africa (it is in fact the 4th largest park). After this exhilirating visit we take a short drive which will lead to the entertainment resort of Sun City. After check in, the afternoon can be devoted to exploring this magnificent resort with its multitude of entertainment options. Overnight:Palace Hotel Meals: None
Day 2: Sun City
Tee off early at the Gary Player Country Club, the annual venue of the Sun City Golf Challenge. The Gary Player golf course lies amidst beautiful bushveld scenery and is regarded as one of the worlds finest courses. Stretching over more than 7000 meters, it definitely is one of the world's longest golf courses. All 18 holes can be classified as difficult. There are plenty of bunkers and water hazards. The par five ninth, with its island green, is sure to be amongst the most spectacular holes of the day.The afternoon is spent at leisure. A visit to The Valley of the Waves is a must! Day 3: Departure
The Lost City Golf Course is an 18-hole desert-style golf course with spectacular views across the bushveld. It is the focus of a morning round with tee off around 8:00 am. Unique to this 72 par course are the 38 real crocodiles at the 13th hole. The golf course covers more than 100 hectares and incorporates 28000 square meters of water features. After completing the course, with some time allowed for lunch, guests are transferred to Johannesburg after a memorable Sun City golfing excursion. Overnight: None Meals: Breakfast
