The Sabi River Sun is situated along the banks of the Sabie River and is in close proximity to the Kruger National Park, Bourke's Luck Potholes, God's Window, the Blyde River Canyon and Pilgrim's Rest. The resort has numerous sporting facilities, including the 18-hole golf course, 5 swimming pools, 3 floodlit tennis courts, a bowling green, squash court, volleyball, mountain biking and river rafting (in the summer).

If you prefer activities which are less strenuous, but no less satisfying, try a Nature walk, bird watching, game drives, do a sight seeing tour of the surrounding area or look out for the resident crocodiles and hippos.

There are two restaurants at the resort; the Hippopotamus Restaurant offers breakfasts and dinners and the Terrace Restaurant serves lunches and light meals with a view over the golf course. Don't forget to visit the Waterhole Bar for a pre- or post-dinner drink.
