Pezula Golf Course, set on sweeping coastal cliffs, situated east of the charming town of Knysna, in the very heart of the Garden Route, encompasses a world-class championship golf course. The course rates amongst the best and the most scenic golf courses in the world. It is designed to include a full range of shots, making it a challenging, rewarding and complete golf experience for players of all levels.

The course which lies high above the Indian Ocean and the vast Knysna Lagoon, is a sweeping spectacle of fairways and greens rolling through the pristine indigenous landscape.The added view of the majestic Outeniqua Mountains makes this course a scenic delight. The course's designers, Ron Fream and David Dale have compared the look of the Pezula golf course to that of Gleneagles in the Scottish Highlands and Pebble Beach on the Monterey coastline. A terrain of rolling fairways, fynbos (resembling Scottish Heather) and eyebrow bunkers do, however, make it very difficult to walk this course (panic golf carts are available for all golfers). The five different tee options on every hole cater for all skill levels. No two challenges, or views, are alike. The signature holes are the three holes built on the cliff top overlooking the ocean: the par-5 13 th, par-four 14th and the par-three 15th. The par-four 14th is particularly challenging - it is short and requires the golfer to lay-up before firing at the pin. The green is completely surrounded by bunkers which means that care should be taken not to overshoot out-of-bounds and over the cliff.
