Atlantic Beach is a championship links golf course, built in the tradition of fabled courses such as St Andrews and Pebble Beach. Winding its way through the undulating dunes, and peppered with islands of Fynbos, this challenging (yet fair) course has been designed to be as enjoyable for the expert as it is for the weekend golfer. On calm days you can play your normal loft shot, but on windy days it will be necessary to use the firm turf to play low running shots beneath the wind. Either way it is a challenge sure to be enjoyed.
The course, built with a serious commitment to the preservation of the indigenous fauna & flora in the area, is situated on the western shore of Table Bay - offering players some of the most impressive views of Robben Island and Table Bay.
Atlantic Beach has been open for play since June 2000. Golf Data, architects of international golf, who are associated with Jack Nicklaus and his well known "signature" golf courses, were responsible for the design, construction and maintenance of this course.
On completion of 18 holes you will agree that it is the combination of good golf in unsurpassed natural surroundings that makes Atlantic Beach golf links a unique golfing experience. The fact that it is situated a mere 20 minutes from downtown Cape Town makes the location ideal for holiday makers who wish to play a round at one of South Africa's finest courses.
